Because of the reflective nature of the text and its rhetoric, the intended audience is western hemisphere people and developed countries population.

After reading his post I relized we looked at the essay different ways. This could be because of our different backgrounds. I don't totally agree with everything he says. The essay was letting us know how the first Americans viewed the land not exactly saying we are abusesing the nature. It was just giving us examples of things they used the land and nature for. Forexample the old man who could look at the position of the sun and know what season it was.
